Bow Tie
acrylic on canvas
30" x 24"
An elegant African-American man looks to one side. I used rapid brush strokes to define his features and bone structure. This painting was one of 60 works selected from 200 entries by juror Margaret Kross from the Whitney Museum of American Art. It was included in "Powers of Observation" at the Flinn Gallery, presented by the Greenwich Art Society.
